The Beyond Zone - Part One
"And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse."
(
Mark 5: 25-26)
"We can do all things through our brain!" proclaims "today's popular evangelist". The world has a way of leaving us stranded sometimes, Jobless, Spouseless., Spiceless, Joyless et al. All these "lesses" cause us to question our purpose - what is the point of waking up to strain and pain? What is the point of arising to stocks of lack or stepping into barrels of boredom? Whichever angle you look at the days, they are all in practicality, meaningless - blanks with only blankness to offer... chasing after the wind and worse still the wind viciously chasing us!
Our struggles are oftentimes a pointer to the meanness and selfishness of our fellow human beings -"disciples" - who do not care for their fellow folk as they should. They are able, but they are unwilling to help. To these lot, your suffering serves emphasizes their comfort; the more you cry, the more you remind them how “blessed” they are; the more you stretch your hands reaching out for help, the more they stretch their hands towards you pushing you away. Once they are successful, the unsuccessful do not matter. Anyone who comes seeking for help is a distraction and is met with an arrogant dismissal and at best, a promise for help that is neither willed nor meant.
With no help coming from the very people we can identify, this ought to trigger the mind's insightful faculty that there is The beyond zone. After twelve years she decided to do it differently amidst the multitude.
She pushed further to get to "The beyond zone" when the ordinary seized to work.
Amen
